Adib Nadi
Nadi Law is led by Adib Nadi, who is an experienced attorney specializing in the areas of Criminal Defence and Employment law. He has been practicing as an attorney for over 9 years in the Toronto area. He is a diligent and effective advocate and has conducted well over 100 contested trials over the course of his career. Clients of the firm can feel confident that they have legal representation that can effectively represent their interests no matter what direction the legal matter heads. Trust in his experience and competence, trust in Nadi Law!
During his youth, Adib Nadi was raised in both the Toronto and Durham region. His family immigrated to Canada when he was a child. His parents were working class individuals and instilled a strong work ethic in their eldest son through example. He graduated high school in the Durham region at the top of his class. His hard work eventually led to a scholarship allowing him to attend the University of Toronto for his undergraduate studies. He completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto in 2007 with an Honours Bachelors in Science and graduated with distinction. He then decided to attend law school right here in Toronto at Osgoode Hall where he was the recipient of the R. Samuel McLaughlin Foundation Scholars Award. It was here where he developed his interest in criminal and employment litigation. He graduated law school in 2011 and has been practicing as an attorney ever since, serving the community that he has spent his entire life in.
Prior to forming Nadi Law in 2018, Adib Nadi worked in both a large criminal defence and a mid-size full-service law firm in the Toronto area. In addition to working as a criminal defence attorney, Adib has several years of experience working as a Federal Crown Attorney prosecuting high level drug trafficking and narcotics offences. Each of these experiences has assisted him in becoming a strong advocate and litigator who can critically analyze both sides of every case. His experience as a Crown Attorney allows him to better understand what it is like to be the lawyer on the prosecution’s side. This provides for a level of insight that is uncommon amongst most defence lawyers. It is a skillset that has been critically important in both the employment and criminal areas of his practice, whether it be during negotiations with the other side, or during a heated contested trial.
Adib Nadi also has several years of experience representing both employers and employees in legal issues such as severance negotiations, wrongful dismissal, constructive dismissal and human rights violations. Although he tries to canvass whether a settlement is possible in most cases, clients can feel confident that if litigation becomes necessary in court or before a tribunal, they are represented by an experienced attorney with plenty of litigation experience.
In turn, this has led to a track record of effective results for his clients.
