Larry Lebovits

Larry Lebovits has experience as a participant in all areas of the criminal justice system. His background is unique as he was a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) for over 13 years attaining the rank of Sergeant.   His duties began with uniform policing.  He then moved on to drug investigations and being  a part of major criminal intelligence projects involving the wiretaps and confidential human sources and international components plus complex financial crime investigations including frauds, market related offences and counterfeiting.  Part of his experience included preparing these cases for court and testifying at judicial proceedings. 

Larry has years of legal experience as a criminal defence attorney as well as a federal crown.  He has conducted legal proceedings at both the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice in Ontario, including a myriad of offences such as:  simple and complex drug  possession and trafficking offences, violent offences including armed robberies and sexual and domestic assaults, impaired driving  by alcohol or drug cases as well complex frauds and financial related offences.  In the defence of his clients, he has often challenged judicial authorizations such as search warrants used to seize evidence. 

Larry has always worked towards improving himself.  His education includes completion of his bachelor of science degree from the University of Toronto, a certificate in business computer systems and programming from Toronto Metropolitan University, an MBA from Wilfred Laurier University and the Juris Doctor degree from the University of Detroit Mercy. 

Larry’s unique experiences and qualifications, coupled with his active participation in the criminal process from beginning to end differentiates him from others.   He deals directly and personally with all his clients in a private and discreet manner to ensure a serious, strategic and well thought out defence.
